About us
WildCAM Australia ® regards wildlife videography as one of the most challenging forms of camera work and with over twenty years in the field, some challenges are anything but comfortable or even straight forward.
From extreme downpours to heat and humidity that debilitates your stamina, to scrub itch mites that pursues entry to the most tender parts of your body leaving you with severe swelling and itch that lasts for weeks, brown and elegant tiger leeches engorging themselves with your blood and the prospect of being charged by aggressive bull or jumper ants causing you serious allergic reactions,
or while driving, having the odd two and a bit meter or seven feet crocodile freeing himself from a holding bag inside your filming van and then proceeding to climb beside the driver, ramming the windscreen so forcefully that on rebound it came to rest over the steering wheel. Immediately the driver (camera man) getting out so "dam fast" from the moving vehicle, that removing the seatbelt didn't even register in his mind. By the way, no physical injury to both crocodile or the vehicle resulted from this scare, except the very pale faced camera man yelling to the rest the team convoy the B##@$% crocodile is driving the van!
